Grounds and Holiday Decorations
Throughout the year, the Grounds Committee organizes volunteers to maintain and beautify the school grounds. Our goal is to provide a neat, clean, and safe environment for our children. This is a great volunteer opportunity for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Volunteer Days and Projects to be Tackled will be published in Eagle Wings.
The following areas of the school grounds are maintained by volunteers:
- Front school sign on Mayfield road
- Area around school main entrance
- Cafeteria Courtyard
- Special Education Garden
For yearly re-occurring maintenance projects, like clearing the parking lot from debris and leaves, the Grounds Committee recruits AES Partners, the Watch D.O.G.S., Beta Club, and Girl and Boy Scouts.
The Grounds Committee annually hires a landscaping company to prune shrubs and trees and other plants as needed around the entire school.
Christy Stanton (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Gina Davia (email@example.com) are responsible for the AES Holiday Decorations. Both AES parents and children alike love the fall and winter displays. All decorations are free of religious ornamentation.
If you as a parent or school partner would like to donate to the enhancement of the school grounds or holiday decorations, we would love to hear from you.
Comments on behalf of the school’s appearance are greatly appreciated.
